Today’s contributor gets an unusual denial
A couple of nights ago, I went to see a performance with one of my guy friends at a nearby university. This guy and I have a complicated relationship. We’ve been hooking up on random occasions for the past year and a half. The thing is, we’ve only been messing around when he suggests it. This night was going to be different.
After the show I dropped him off in front of his building and asked him, “Are you doing anything now?” He replied, “No, not really, why?” I just looked at him and I knew, he knew what I wanted.

Last summer around July I met (I use the term loosely) this really cute guy. He requested me on Facebook. And while I don’t usually add random strangers, I had just gotten out of a long-term relationship that ended with a decidedly bad breakup, so I thought “why the hell not?”
We started talking and flirting. I gave him my number and we would text and talk on the phone. He was so easy too talk to and he was so nice to me. He told me he didn’t live in my area, so we couldn’t meet up and go on a date or anything.
